Major management functions include various aspects of accounting and cost controls, sales and marketing, property management, and use of hospitality management information systems.
Career Options:: the hospitality industry is a people- and service-oriented business. Individuals trained in hospitality programs manage operations where food, lodging or both are provided. These may include hotels, motels, resorts, conference centers, inns, bed and breakfasts, and airline operations.
Job Outlook: the Department of Finance reports that the job outlook is "good".
