You will develop the theoretical understanding, research, and assessment skills applicable to a clinical setting. While some learners may pursue licensure as psychology assistants or technicians, learners should know that this specialization does not prepare graduates for licensure as an independent, professional counselor or psychologist. Kingston University offers a PsyD specialization in clinical psychology that complements this master's degree. Residency Requirements: Three week-long master's degree colloquia, each taken during specific milestones in your program. Field Training Requirements: 600 practicum hours and accompanying course work. Note: Master's degree requirements in this program do not prepare graduates for licensure as counseling psychologists.
